Meet our answer EXCEPTIONAL VALUE Bonsai Pruning Scissors. These scissors are manufactured by machines in huge volumes and sold across many different scissor using sectors. As a result the price is VERY low. That's not normally a good sign but in this case we believe we have the very best quality scissor for pruning bonsai at the lowest price that's humanly possible.
Graham has road-tested these during summer completing endless hours of pruning and general nursery work and assures us they are brilliant and about the best value for money scissor he has seen. Recently he was using them to get dandelions out of the lawn and they still cut good. Now they're constantly poking out of his back pocket.
Don't be fooled by the low price folk. These scissors are absolutely brilliant!
Stainless steel blades beautifully assembled to cut everything from soft young green growth to gnarly old twigs. The steel curves right into the base of the impact resistant plastic handles which are formed right onto the steel so there's no chance of the two coming apart. The cutting action of these scissors is controlled by the angle and bias of the blade rather that having to be sharp in the conventional sense so, practically they almost never require sharpening unless damaged.
As with all scissors we suggest applying a small drop of oil to the pivot point (apply between the blades) regularly to maintain performance.
These scissors are comfortable in the hand, light and strong with a very smooth and light action. In winter the plastic handles are a lot nicer to hold that cold bare steel too!
