Plan ahead for fresh, nutritious harvests with the 5-Variety Heirloom Cabbage Seed Collection from Survival Garden Seeds. This non-GMO, open-pollinated mix provides dependable cool-weather crops for both spring and fall planting—perfect for home gardeners, homesteaders, and anyone seeking long-term food security.

A Complete Set of Kitchen Favorites:

  • Red Acre – Compact red heads with vibrant color and crisp texture for salads and slaws.
  • Golden Acre – Early, tender green cabbage that matures quickly for fresh eating.
  • Jersey Wakefield – Classic pointed-head cabbage known for sweet flavor and fast growth.
  • Early Round Dutch – Dense, firm green heads perfect for sauerkraut, cooking, or storage.
  • Michihili Napa (Chinese Cabbage) – Mild, elongated leaves ideal for kimchi, stir-fries, and soups.

Why Gardeners Love This Collection:
This versatile seed pack covers every need—from quick early greens to long-storing fall harvests. By combining early, mid, and late-maturing varieties, you’ll enjoy a steady supply of cabbage throughout the growing season and beyond.

Easy to Grow, Anywhere:
Cabbage thrives in cool weather and performs across USDA Zones 2–11. Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow when soil is workable. Transplant to full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart in rows 24–36 inches apart. Maintain steady moisture and mulch to retain soil humidity. Excellent for raised beds, containers, and traditional garden rows.

Reliable Harvests & Long-Term Value:
Each variety is selected for strong germination, adaptability, and consistent yields. Compact seed packets store easily for preparedness and make thoughtful gifts for gardeners focused on sustainability and self-reliance.

Too expensive, tastes fine
I was worried based on reviews, but I think these taste fine! I don't eat a lot of candy anyway, but sometimes I just need 1-2 pieces to satisfy a sweet/sour craving. These are great since I'm on the Keto diet. They aren't overly sour for sure, but they still have some sourness to them. There's a bit of an aftertaste since they are made with sugar substitutes, but nothing terrible. My only complaint is the price. Way too expensive for the amount you get.

Not bad
The cherry tastes too much like cherry cough syrup. The grape fruit and apple aren't bad. For a no sugar candy for diabetics when you're having a craving, not bad.

I Wouldn’t Call Them Sour
Did I enjoy this candy? Absolutely. Did it meet my expectations? No. I have anxiety. I’ve heard about the technique of using a sour candy to distract from an anxiety attack. Well, I also have insulin resistance so I have been looking for a sugar-free sour candy which it turns out is a tall order. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tasted these because they really don’t taste sour. While I enjoy the flavors (especially grapefruit) they aren’t sour. A big bummer. I do think the nutrition for this candy is awesome, though. They have a good amount of fiber and are made with xylitol which is great for oral health. Overall, I think they are pricey and not necessarily worth the cost considering they are not anything special outside of the nutritional values. Bummer!
