Group 5 Herbicide

ProForce Renegade 800WG is a preemergent soil residual herbicide that can be used for extended control of both grass and broadleaf weeds in industrial areas, commercial areas and rights-of-way situations. Renegade is particularly strong on grass weed species. The product contains 800g/kg Bromacil and is ideal for use where control of hard-to-kill and
resistant weeds are present. ProForce Renegade 800WG is highly compatible with non-selective knockdown herbicides allowing immediate control of existing weeds.
Once in the soil, ProForce Renegade 800WG acts to control germinating weeds for up to 12 months reducing the need for multiple herbicide applications.

Key Features:

  • Wettable Granule formulation of Bromacil. Easier to use and measure when compared to wettable powder formulations.
  • Non-Scheduled chemical. Reduced concerns around mixing, application and re-entry into treated areas.
  • Ideal herbicide resistance management option. Useful rotational tool.
  • Member of the Group 5 Uracil herbicide subgroup.
  • Highly compatible with key knockdown herbicides. Mixes readily with all non-selective herbicides for one pass control of emerged and non-emerged weeds.
  • Available in multiple pack sizes (2kg and 5kg) to best suit the job and storage requirements available.

Maximising Performance:

  • To maximise long term residual performance, target bare soil ensuring, good even coverage. When weeds are already present, ProForce Renegade 800WG should be
applied in combination with a non-selective knockdown herbicide e.g. Rapid Fire (glyphosate), glufosinate or paraquat and a suitable surfactant. Apply within 10
weeks of germination of winter weeds – usually in June to August. Long term residual control may not be as effective where heavy organic matter loads prevent Renegade from reaching the soil and the root zone. Best results will be achieved where rain occurs within a week of application.
  • Retreat as weeds begin to reappear on sites where growth has been controlled.
  • Use lower rates on lighter soils low in clay or organic matter and higher rates on heavier soils high in clay or organic matter.
  • Large areas: Use a fixed boom sprayer or handgun. To prevent nozzle blockage, strainer and nozzle screens should be 50 mesh or coarser. Always agitate in spray
tank to keep material in suspension.
  • Fixed Boom Sprayer: Use 1000-2000 L/ha water for industrial weed control. For selective weed control use 250-450 L/ha at 200-300 kPa pressure.
  • Handgun: Use 1000-2000 L/ha and 60-800 kPa pressure.
  • Small areas: Use a knapsack or pressurised hand sprayer or water can. Shake or stir frequently.
  • Don’t apply or drain or flush equipment on or near desirable trees or other plants or where their roots may extend.
  • Don’t spray under weather conditions or from sprayer equipment that may cause spray to drift.
  • Leave a 50m buffer zone between spray and nearest trees.
  • Complete coverage of weed is required for maximum knockdown effect.

Our church read this book together, and I can't recommend enough that your church do the same!
Format: Paperback
I am so grateful to Claude Atcho for inextricably weaving together a spacious reformed theology with the heights and depths of great African American literature. Thanks to his gracious, nuanced, and substantive guidance, I can no longer separate the two. For example, I will no longer be able to read the Exodus account of liberation without imagining Zora Neale Hurston's "Moses, Man of the Mountain." Where the themes of great African American literature (and indeed, great theology) do not short-cut suffering, death, lament, and evil, Atcho manages to do this heavy lifting in a way that welcomes uninitiated readers like me. Our church read this book together, and I can't recommend enough that your church do the same!

Eye-Opening and Heart-Expanding
Format: Paperback
I am incredibly grateful for this book. It gave me profound insight into essential truths of Christian faith and doctrine by allowing me to see them through a radically different lens than my internal lens. Plus, it opened me up enormously to the experience of black Americans who express the pain and challenge of life in our country thoughtfully and provocatively. I left this reading chastened, desiring more conversation, moved to listen better, and hoping to live differently.

Best book I've read in last 10 years!
Format: Paperback
I'm absolutely blown away. I finished the book this morning. I have been recommending it to anyone and everyone who asks me "So, what you reading?". I'm known for having a book stack a mile high. I ran out of my first yellow highlighter! Profound stuff. The subtitle, How African American Literature Can Make Our Faith More Whole and Just, doesn't do the book justice. It is soooo much more. I highly recommend!

Countee Cullen chapter
Format: Paperback
This book is a great read. I’m not even sure how to encapsulate my thoughts on it, but let me say the chapter, “Jesus,” on the poetry of Countee Cullen is brilliant and a masterclass on discipleship, suffering, identity, projecting onto Jesus. This one chapter could literally be a course in Christian discipleship handling multiple aspects of the life of faith. I feel like I’m not doing the chapter, the book, or Claude Atcho justice here, but I deeply recommend this book and urge readers to really sit with the Cullen chapter and all its implications. What a gift Claude Atcho has given us here!
