The hanger comes ready to hang with natural jute rope.Since the plate works with gravity, you won't have any problems with your plants falling off! They hang from natural jute rope. To display, hang the planter from a hook anchored into the ceiling, or threaded on a curtain rod, or using a plant hook / bracket.
These are the perfect gift for any occasion, or plant lover. They look great by themselves, or paired with our other plant hangers!
Perfect for:

Size:
approx 12inches in diameter. The rope comes with extra length so it can easily be fitted for where it will be hung. The plate is approx 5inches in diameter, giving about a 10 inch clearance between top of the plate and top of the hanger.
Materials:
Pine (can be stained, just select dark wood hanger in options if you prefer the darker version in the photos!)
Natural jute rope for hanging.
Finished with:
Wiped down with mineral oil to protect the wood and bring out the natural wood grain.
Care:
Dust with soft cloth when needed. If kept outdoors, it is highly recommended you season with mineral or danish oil on occasion (the wood will tell you when it's thirsty/needs attention). It is also not recommended to water your plants without a saucer directly on the plate.

Awesome Boards….BUT the Smell!!!!

I’d love to give these 5 stars, they are heavy, well made, smooth, deep juice grooves, just nice….but the smell! I washed them, then used vinegar on them, set them outside over night, washed them again….its better but still present. I’d love some guidance on this. I’m hoping it goes away in a few days. It’s like a very strong woodsy smell that actually made my whole kitchen smell like these boards!
Edit: Ok, here's what I did. Washed, let dry, coated and scrubbed with apple cider vinegar, set them in a high air flow area for 24 hours (I put mine outside on the patio over night), washed and scrubbed again, let dry, scrubbed with lemons and salt, let dry, washed again. Finally, there is still a slight smell if you push them against your nose but that seems to be fading as well. So, great boards if you want to go stubbornly go through the smell removal process. I don't think it's a chemical smell, I think it's processed bamboo that is shrink wrapped in air tight packaging too soon after manufacturing. Anyway, I'll move this to 4 stars....but lots of work involved here!

Don’t worry about the smell!

These are great for the price, though I’ve never had any desire or need to use the smallest one. They smell strongly of BBQ at first, but from what I’ve read that’s a natural result of a heat treatment used to increase it’s durability and dark color (the heat cooks the sugars in the bamboo which creates the scent). Anyways, I’ve had them for awhile
now and the scent is long gone.
