Fitting and handling
Stack panels flat on a level surface in a dry, ventilated area for at least 48 hours before fixing to allow any residual moisture from the treatment process to stabilise. Fix to timber posts or existing fence frameworks using galvanised or stainless-steel screws or panel clips to prevent corrosion reacting with the TANALITH E preservative. Where panels are cut to fit, treat all sawn ends with an approved end-grain preservative to maintain the integrity of the rot protection.
FAQ
What is the gap size in the Hutton Square Trellis Panels?
The square apertures are 100mm x 100mm, formed by the 35mm x 18mm planed softwood battens. This spacing is wide enough for most climbing plants to thread through easily and gives the panels a traditional, open appearance.
Can these trellis panels be used as standalone fence panels, or do they need to be fixed on top of existing fencing?
