The iconic Red Lipstick Palm is the ultimate tropical showstopper, famous for its fiery red crown shafts and elegant green foliage. A true collector’s gem, this palm brings an instant resort vibe to any garden or indoor jungle. Please note: young plants naturally display mottled leaf colouring until they mature — this is completely normal! Our plants are greenhouse-grown and will require sun hardening before planting in full sun to prevent leaf burn. If you are not located in the tropics, we strongly recommend not purchasing this palm, as it does not tolerate cold and will almost certainly die.

🌞 Light: Bright indirect light is ideal; can tolerate gentle sun in warm climates but protect from harsh midday exposure when young.
💧 Water: Keep soil consistently moist at all times; this palm does not tolerate drying out.
💦 Humidity: Requires very high humidity; a humidifier is strongly recommended indoors.
🌡 Temperature: Prefers consistently warm conditions between 22–32°C and is highly sensitive to cold.
🌱 Soil: Use a rich but well-draining mix of coco coir, coco chip & perlite to retain moisture while allowing airflow.
🪴 Support: Not required, as this palm maintains a self-supporting clumping habit.
🌿 Fertiliser: Controlled-release fertiliser is added to the potting mix; supplement with a palm-specific fertiliser during active growth for optimal performance.
