Philodendron ‘Imperial Red’ Variegated is a rare self-heading hybrid known for its broad, paddle-shaped leaves that emerge in deep burgundy tones before maturing to rich green with splashes and sectoral streaks of creamy white variegation. Unlike vining philodendrons, it forms a compact, upright rosette, giving it a full, structured presence as it matures. Each leaf develops unique marbling, often contrasting dramatically against the plant’s dark stems and red-tinged new growth. It performs best in bright, indirect light to support both strong variegation and vibrant red new growth, and prefers a well-draining mix kept lightly moist. Warm temperatures and moderate humidity will encourage steady, symmetrical growth.

I actually purchased another brand to see if I could distinguish the difference between the two. This particular sheepskin is by far the better of the two purchases. FYI: When the package was opened, there was no distinct odor. That's a huge plus! I will admit that the size was slightly smaller than expected. It really doesn't matter much in the space I'm using it for though. My miniature Dachshund loves it! If you're trying to find a high quality sheepskin, and you don't need to cover a very large space, this is definitely the one to buy!
