Get ready to be blown away by the stunning Zig-zag cactus, also known as Euphorbia pseudocactus! It's a hybrid cross between Euphorbia pseudocactus and Euphorbia grandicornis, resulting in a smaller but still stunning plant. This zig zag plant is a true showstopper, with multi-branched dwarf stems that resemble a cactus.

Its candelabra-shaped beauty is absolutely breathtaking when grown properly; in fact, this is why it is sometimes called candelabra spurge! Let's take a look at those eye-catching yellow V-shaped markings! As this Euphorbia zig-zag grows, it forms large mounded clumps branching from the base and above, reaching heights of 4 feet and up to 2 meters in diameter.

Its spiny stem forms arms in a zig and zag manner, hence its name. Plus, with its small bright yellow flowers that bloom during spring - talk about adding some sunshine to your day!

So go ahead, add some excitement to your garden with this Euphorbia 'Zig-Zag'!

Watering Needs

Overwatering should be avoided at all costs as the Zig-zag plant is highly vulnerable to root rot if kept in constantly damp soil. It's important to allow the soil to fully dry out between each watering, and if you're unsure whether or not it's time for another drink, err on the side of caution and give it some extra time.

Although desert succulents are able to survive months without water, pay close attention to this little plant's specific watering needs, and you'll be able to keep your Euphorbia zig-zag healthy and happy for years to come!

Light Requirements

Providing enough light for this zig-zag cactus is one of the most important aspects of their care. It is important to grow zig-zag Euphorbia in areas that receive at least 4-6 hours of bright, direct light every day to keep them happy.

If indoors, place your succulents directly in front of a west- or south-facing window. If they don't receive enough light, their stems may grow leggy and become paler and their spines will shorten; so, make your zig-zag cactus happy and give it plenty of light.

Optimal Soil & Fertilizer Needs

The zig-zag cactus favors very airy, sandy soil that drains well. Planting them in ordinary soil will result in compacted roots, stunted growth, and, most likely, root rot. Instead, make or buy a well-draining potting mix, or ideally, use our specialized potting mix that contains organic mycorrhizae to promote the development of a strong root system that helps your succulent to thrive.

When it comes to fertilizing your Euphorbia zig zag cactus, it only needs a small amount of fertilizer applied once a year in spring. Succulents prefer a fertilizer with lower doses of NPK, with a maximum ratio of 5-10-5 that is higher in phosphorus than nitrogen.

Hardiness Zones & More

Typically grown in hot, arid desert regions, the zig-zag cactus thrives indoors in warm, dry surroundings. If you live in USDA regions 9 to 11, you can also grow this Euphorbia zig-zag outdoors year-round, but they are not cold- or frost-tolerant, so you should plant them indoors or put them in a pot and move them indoors during the winter if you live outside of these regions.

Keep your Zig-zag cacti away from cold, drafty windows and air vents if you are growing them indoors in a cold climate.

Be sure to add Euphorbia pseudocactus 'Zig-zag' to your home or garden and enjoy its low maintenance care, while admiring its impressive display year after year.

An excellent book...a must read!
Format: Paperback
Ruthie Gilmore's examination of California's prison-industrial complex paints a sobering portrait of the effects of the state's post-industrial decline in the past quarter century. Supplemented by numerous charts, maps, and statistics, Gilmore argues that the massive prison-building project that began in the early 1980s was rooted in earlier developments, namely the failure of the "welfare-warfare state" to absorb the numerous surpluses created by political and economic restructuring. Combining theory and historical-sociological analysis, this highly readable book is at once depressing and optimistic; it lays out the facts and guidelines for pursuing meaningful, antiracist struggles against the systemic dehumanization of immigrants, low-wage workers, and youths of color that continues to characterize U.S. political culture.

Beautiful Storytelling
Format: Hardcover
In a day and time when gentleness and positive imagination is needed for children, I was moved by this book in the best possible way. The storytelling was restrained and beautiful, allowing the illustrations to carry much of the story. I was truly emotional, in a gentle and grounded way, as I read this story. Every child should have the chance to find their wild side and do it in a safe environment, and this book shows you just how it can feel when it happens. The illustrations are perfect, and gorgeous, and lifted the story up to a new level of enjoyment. I cannot wait to share it with my 6-year-old granddaughter, and I honestly plan to many to give as gifts.
