The Ideal Auger for Digging Post & Gallon Pot Holes
The gallon pot & post hole auger measures 28 inches in length with a 7-inch diameter. Crafted with a 1.25-inch steel shaft and double 10-gauge flighting, this auger offers exceptional strength and durability, allowing it to handle tough digging tasks. It features a unique design that digs twice per rotation, making it twice as efficient as competitors’ models.
For optimal performance, we recommend using a minimum 40V cordless drill with this 7-inch auger. Alternatively, you can pair it with a Stihl BT45 using our threaded adapter. For a complete solution, our 60V drill bundle provides the power you need, complete with a battery and case—only available from Power Planter!
Powerful and Versatile Gallon Pot & Post Hole Augers
The Heavy Duty version of our gallon pot & post hole auger is designed for rugged use and versatility. Choose the “Heavy Duty – Clay, Rocky, or Professional Use” option from the dropdown menu. The heavy-duty digging tip is a replaceable auger tip that allows you to tackle the toughest digging jobs without compromising the main auger’s integrity. The digging tip also features replaceable auger blades (included with purchase), making it a long-lasting investment for your digging needs. With the Heavy Duty auger, you can take on tasks that would cause other tools to wear out prematurely.
Heavy-Duty Drives for Maximum Efficiency
Our gallon pot & post hole auger is part of our Heavy Duty drive auger collection, designed to fit a variety of drills or powerheads. This auger is compatible with any 1/2-inch or larger drill chuck using the included hex adapter. Additionally, the post hole auger bit can be paired with a Stihl BT45 power unit with the purchase of a threaded adapter (sold separately). Our tube drive augers feature 2 mounting holes with pins to fit powerheads with a 3/4-inch shaft. For added convenience, our Quick Attach Auger Adapter allows seamless compatibility with any drill that has a 7/16" Quick Attach Chuck. This is a great option for professional landscapers who need to switch between drills and powerheads quickly during projects.
