PLANTING

Anethum graveolens

Annual

Germination: 10-14 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 60-65ºF

Seed Planting Depth:  Sow ⅛” deep

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost. Provide 60-65ºF soil temperatures.  Using peat, cow, or paper pots can help with the stress of transplanting, they grow delicate roots and successful transplanting may be challenging. Transplant 3-6” apart, around the last frost.

Sowing Outdoors: Mid-spring when the soil temperature reaches 60-65ºF. Sow seeds close,  1/2" -1" apart. Thin to 3-6" apart.

Growth Habit: Upright, branching

Height and Width: 14-18” x 12-16”

Spacing: 1-6” apart

Light Needs: Full sun

Soil Needs: Compatto Dill needs average to fertile, well-drained soil

Flowering: 35-40 days- leaves, 90-100 days- seeds

Harvest: Start when the plants are 6-8”, picking leaves as needed. Seeds are ready when they turn from green to brown. Harvest before they shatter to the ground. Place in a paper bag until they are fully ripened and dry

Uses: Culinary and medicinal, flowers attract bees and beneficial insects

Care: Water well during prolonged dry periods in summer. Removing flower stalks helps keep the plant producing leaves for a longer period. Reseeds easily- removing flower heads helps decrease next season's volunteers

TipsSow a few times a season, every 3-4 weeks for continuous leaf harvests. Providing support can help tall varieties that might want to topple over. Can be grown in containers.

Great buy would buy again
Size: X-Small, Color: Owl
Very durable dog toy. Lasted longer than any other toy with a squeaker for my wiener dog. Great squeak ability. Cute as can be.

Holds up well with aggressive chewers.
Size: X-Small, Color: Pig
This is my dog's favorite toy. And she has LOTS of toys so that is big endorsement. Miss Trina ( 40 pound boxer) loves to squeak it in Enzo's ( big brother 140 pound Cane Corso) face when he is sleeping. They also play tug of war . They destroy the toy eventually ( we are on the third one) but it holds for a few weeks. Miss Trina also likes to par corps around the house with this toy. Her favorite way to use this toy is bring it my husband for him to throw it . If he is napping she just drops in on his face. Definately recommend this toy.

Fun toy for my dogs but squeaker broke easily
Size: X-Small, Color: Pig
So far my aggressive chewer dog hasn’t been able to rip this toy apart but in one day she did break the squeaker inside. But I like that she hasn’t been able to rip it apart so it is pretty tough. I got this on a deal so it was good price for a toy that will last. Put 1 star down because the squeaker quality wasn’t the best when she was able to break it so fast. Esp love that it has no stuffing. And it’s a cute pink pig which is great.

The cutest softest, quack, quack
Color: PINK
My seven year-old full octane energy 12 pound dog is obsessed with ducks every toy that she’s ever gotten really attached to has been a duck and I bought the same exact up from a different store at least a dozen times because she was obsessed with it. But as soon as she would get the noisemaker out of it, it was time for anyone. But it was so cheaply made I decided to start getting her different ducks that were supposed to be harder to destroy, and we still have a graveyard of destroyed ducks. But this one she doesn’t wanna destroy it. It only has one little squeaker is what I call it so she doesn’t care to try to tear it open and take it out. The material is extremely lush and soft and it is incredibly adorable. I don’t really know what makes it an interactive toy though, but I recommend it.
