Care & tips Strelitzia Nicolai - 250cm

The Strelitzia Nicolai is not a difficult houseplant to look after. A little attention goes a long way. Just make sure you know the right care tips. The Strelitzia grows from the middle. The lower leaves are therefore the oldest and the first to turn ugly. Are the lower leaves of your Strelitzia not so neat when they arrive? Then these are just old leaves and can easily be pruned. This way, you can contribute to the further growth process of this plant.

Water requirements of the Strelitzia Nicolai - 250cm

The soil of the Strelitzia should always be slightly moist. Feel the soil for each watering. Is the soil still damp from the previous watering? Then wait a while. If the soil is dry, it is time to water again. If you have already repotted the plant, it is important to use a moisture meter or water gauge! Unfortunately, feeling the soil is no longer enough.

Strelitzia Nicolai originates from the tropics. For this reason, it prefers to stand in as much sunlight as possible. Put the plant in a sunny spot, where it does best. A lack of sunlight will prevent new leaf growth and the plant may become limp and/or discoloured.
