Dwarf Sunspot is a short single stem sunflower cultivar with full sized 10" blooms that'll totally brighten up your day! Grow giant sunflowers in a tiny space. The entire plant gets to be around 3FT tall and doesn't take up much space. This is a great choice for container or grow bag gardening. Plus, it makes excellent quality edible sunflower seeds.
Sunflowers got their name because the flowers turn to follow the sun called heliotropism. Sunflowers are a historic flower as they have been grown for thousands of years and were cultivated by Native American tribes. The seeds are used for oil, making meal, or just munching on them. They are a native flower to the USA and grow pretty well in a wide range of climates.

Germination: 7-10 days
Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2 inch
Sowing: Can direct sow after the last frost, or start in pots 4-6 weeks before the last frost.
