Snake Plant 'Gold Flame' - Natural Air Purifying Houseplant

The Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Gold Flame' is an evergreen perennial native to tropical West Africa and Nigeria. This striking variety features sword-shaped leaves with distinctive yellow edges and dark green patterns running through the center of each stalk, creating a bold architectural presence in any space.

Natural Air Purification

This snake plant variety functions as a natural air purifier, making it an ideal addition to offices and households. The plant actively filters indoor air while requiring minimal maintenance, providing both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits for your living or working environment.

Drought Tolerant and Water-Retaining

The strong, sturdy leaves of the 'Gold Flame' are designed to retain water, making this plant exceptionally drought tolerant. This water-storage capability means less frequent watering is required, perfect for busy individuals or those new to plant care. The thick, succulent-like leaves store moisture efficiently, allowing the plant to thrive even with occasional neglect.

Easy Propagation

Snake plants can be easily propagated through leaf cuttings, allowing you to expand your collection or share plants with friends and family. Simply cut a healthy leaf, allow it to callus, and plant in soil to grow new plants. This makes the 'Gold Flame' an excellent gift option that keeps on giving.

Distinctive Gold Flame Appearance

What sets this variety apart is its striking coloration. Each stalk displays a vibrant yellow outline that frames the characteristic dark green pattern in the middle, creating a flame-like appearance that gives this cultivar its name. The upright growth habit and bold variegation make it a standout decorative element.

Low Maintenance Care Requirements

The Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Gold Flame' thrives in low light conditions and requires minimal attention. Water only when soil is completely dry, typically every 2-3 weeks depending on environmental conditions. This snake plant tolerates a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels, adapting well to typical indoor environments without special requirements.

great
Format: Paperback
Mulla Nasrudin is the Br'er Rabbit, or Coyote, of the Middle East. The stories are teaching stories, and they can be very amusing, thoughtful, and thought stimulating, all at once. Idries Shah's books tend to be very well written, anyway, however the subject is simply delightful. I can't add much more than what others have said, except to say that the stories really make one think. Juha is the Arabic version, and Hoja is the Turkish version. The stories sometimes show up in Western culture, without attribution.

The modern equivalent would be Yogi Berra -
Format: Paperback
The exploits of Mulla Nasrudin are supposed to demonstrate issues of sufism in practice, and it may well do, i don't know much about sufism, but this is quite a nice little book nevertheless. These are very short tales - not much longer than Aesop's fables and they demonstrate human falibility and strength on a number of different levels inspiring great thought. Loved the early editions with the illustrations by Richard Williams, but this was a nice edition For instance the tale of Nasrudin becoming scared when seeing riders on the rode, imagining he would be captured by them and sold into slavery he flees over a nearby wall. the good Travellers who cannot understand the action pursue him to make sure he is all right and find him cowering in a grave. Nasrudin observes he fled there because of them and they came to the grave because of him. On the surface a strange tale and yet the deeper meaning of motivations unravels a whole new set of concepts to consider. This reminds me of some of the sayings of yogi berra, they are shorter but in fact same appealing levels of meaning to them that question our understanding of events.
