T he Peperomia Hope, known as Peperomia tetraphylla, is a delightful houseplant known for its small, round succulent leaves that are soft to the touch. Native to Central America and South America, it is also known as the acorn peperomia or four-leaved peperomia.

It is a delightful cultivar resulting from a cross between Peperomia deppeana and Peperomia quadrifolia, an interesting species of the Peperomia genus.

This image features the Peperomia Hope, which makes a colorful choice for containers and hanging baskets.

These trailing stems of the slow-growing cultivar can reach a length of about 12 inches, making them perfect for hanging baskets or as a trailing plant on shelves.

They grow on trailing stems, creating a cascading effect that adds a touch of elegance to any space.

The Peperomia hope flowers are usually greenish-white or yellowish in color and are not the main attraction of this plant.

While Peperomia hope is primarily grown for its foliage, it does produce small, insignificant flowers during the spring and summer.

Like other succulents, Peperomia plants are low-maintenance plants and are neglect-tolerant, making them ideal for travelers or busy owners.

Whether you're an experienced plant parent or just starting out, this versatile Peperomia tetraphylla beauty is sure to impress. Not only are these tropical plants safe for humans and pets, but they also thrive in partial shade and require moderate watering.

When and How to Water Your Peperomia Hope

These hope plants need deep irrigation to keep the soil moist, but not too wet. Make sure you check the soil before watering, as these plants do not like to be waterlogged or soggy. Go to https://planetdesert.com/collections/soil-top-dressing-and-amendments/products/soil-cactus-mix-blend-1-gal-4-qt-cacti-succulent-dirt-compost-growing-media Your Peperomia hope plant prefers watering once every 2-3 weeks in the growing season, and once a month in the dormant.

In the spring and summer, during the growing season, watering once every two or three weeks is ample for your Peperomia tetraphylla.

In the winter, during the dormant season, if it doesn't rain, you still should only water the Peperomia hope plant less than once a month.

If the plant doesn't receive enough moisture for an extended period of time, discoloration, pale stems, and browning can occur, leading to stunted growth. In contrast, overwatering can cause root rot and fungal infections.

Light Requirements - Where to Place Your Peperomia Hope

When grown indoors, it should be placed in the sunniest spot in your home in order to receive the 4-6 hours of bright light that it needs each day.

This usually means placing the plant in a south- or west-facing window or using artificial light to provide supplemental light.

It can tolerate low light, but it may experience stunted growth, curled leaves, and faded colors.

When grown outdoors, Peperomia tetraphylla prefers full sun to partial shade for at least 6-8 hours a day. They can tolerate some morning sun, but direct afternoon sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf burn. If the plant is not receiving enough light, its growth may become leggy and sparse.

Optimal Soil & Fertilizer Needs

The Pepromia hope prefers a well-drained soil and should be fertilized once a year in the spring. You can make or buy a well-draining potting mix, or ideally, use our that contains 5 natural substrates and mycorrhizae, which promote the development of a strong root system that helps your Peperomia tetraphylla thrive.

When it comes to fertilizing your Peperomia tetraphylla, a small amount of natural fertilizer once a year in the spring will do wonders for your plant's health and growth. Additionally, by using NPK fertilizers in a balanced ratio (5-10-5), you can add beneficial compounds and microbes to the soil without using harsh chemicals. Show your hope, plant some love with awesome organic fertilizer, and watch it thrive.

Hardiness Zones & More

In the United States, this trailing Peperomia is mostly an indoor plant, but if you live in southern Florida or Hawaii, then you can cultivate it outdoors in USDA zones 10-12.

This tropical plant thrives at typical household humidity levels and can withstand a wide range of humidity. It will grow more quickly if you place a humidifier or pebble tray nearby.

A well-draining potting mix with drainage holes in the potting container will help you maintain temperatures and prevent too much moisture.

How to Grow Best Peperomia Hope Indoors

When growing indoors, the ideal temperature range for your trailing hope plant is 65–75°F.  The Peperomia tetraphylla hope plants are sensitive to both extreme heat and cold, moderate temperatures. Most gardeners in the U.S. will want to keep their plant as an indoor houseplant or grow it in a greenhouse.

It's awesome for a budget product!
Size: 27Inch
I originally got a name brand widescreen monitor, but it was so ridiculously heavy that I returned it the same day it was delivered. I was back in the market for another one, but I figured it would be better to just go for a more budget option. I'm glad I did; this CRUA monitor is lighter in weight (so I don't have any fears that my motorized standing desk will collapse). The clarity on the screen is not the highest of high quality, but I didn't need that. I mostly use this when I work from home and need more screen space to work on multiple programs/files at once. The playback of videos and movies is pretty passable - you're not going to get the highest, pore-defining clarity with this, but again - it's a budget option so don't expect that. The only minor negative I have with this is that there are not enough ports, so you can't connect a USB mouse, earphones, or webcam to this, but I got an extender so it's fine. I was able to balance an external USB webcam on the top of this monitor. You cannot adjust the screen height, but adjusting the angle is possible. Haven't had any issues connecting the display to my work laptop via HDMI. The speakers - when I use them - are pretty good for the price.

Good Monitors, Limited Hook Up Functionality
Size: 27Inch
Good monitors. Crisp, clear, and responsive. Only issue is they didn’t see to be high enough quality to connect to our new HP docking station so we could connect the two monitors to our laptop. The screens constantly flashed so we had to return the HP docking station and buy some sort of hundred dollar apparatus from Best Buy in order to support the dual monitor display. They also couldn’t be “recognized” by my work laptop for whatever reason which was really unfortunate because I’m now unable to work downstairs in our new office with these monitors.

Very good looking monitor, I can handle two laptops
Style: 34" WQHD Curved 100Hz USB-C Docking
This has worked fantastic for me. This doesn't have all the huge bells and whistles but right now I have two laptops hooked up to it I'm using a display port when using the USBC, and I have a whole bunch of other things plugged into both laptop USB chords like cameras Bluetooth adapters chargers memory and a mouse and amazingly I can use them both seamlessly I can switch to monitor between inputs and then my mouse and keyboard will work with whichever computer I'm using at the time. In fact just the other day I accidentally have had a window open from one laptop that took up half the screen and then I had the other laptop open with another with the other window and it was kind of slow but it still managed to work pretty well with that one extra window from one laptop and then the other two and the mouse would seamlessly move between them keyboard worked in both of them. This is been a good investment

Perfect office/work USBC monitor with (finally) enough USB ports for your mouse, keyboard, webcam.
Style: 34" WQHD Curved 100Hz USB-C Docking
This is an office monitor NOT a gaming monitor. If you understand that you will be very happy. I spent absolute ages looking for a USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ultrawide monitor for work that has a built in USB hub. There is nothing more convenient than just plugging a laptop into a USB-C and getting power and all peripherals connected. Gamers will tell you to get a KVM and dock and all kinds of other stuff and they're not wrong but when you're working a 9-5 in tech simplicity and convenience are king. There are a lot of good options for ultrawides from LG and other brands that do this, but for some insane reason they only have two USB ports in their built-in hub. I need ports for my mouse, keyboard, webcam, potentially usb dongle headset. Need 4 ports. This is literally the only option with more than 2 ports for under $800. And it's waaay under $800. And it's great. It has auto dimming which is wonderful and the stronger curve of the monitor is fantastic for being a medium distance away. The 100hz is just icing . Is it as good as 144hz? nah. But for productivity work it's really really good. Everything you need and then some. It has kind of adjustable height with the stand. You can choose between three heights. So no adjustment on the fly. But that's alright. So - if you're looking for the best USBC monitor to connect all your stuff to so you can just plug in your work laptop for a budget.. This is it. The negative reviews here so far are people looking for a gaming monitor or someone who doesn't know how to adjust their operating system scaling.
