This is a striking 19th-century majolica cache pot signed by Delphin Massier, Vallauris, a renowned figure of the French ceramic movement during the Belle Époque. The piece is decorated in high relief with a bold and sculptural thistle motif, featuring richly glazed leaves and blossoms in naturalistic tones of green, lilac, and ochre. The body is gently flared and rests on an elegant tripod base with soft scrolling feet, glazed in a blush pink that rises and fades into the creamy background.

Do it yourself

I purchased a similar set to custom make a dining room table out of butcher block, and it turned out perfect. So with the left over butcher block I purchased these legs and made the perfect kitchen island to match. It is very sturdy and a great price. Everyone wants to know where I purchased it from. I also put a piece of the butcher block across the lower bars and made a lower shelf. Love love love this.
