During the winter months, ‘Cebenese’ ups the contrast even further, deepening to a pinkish hue thanks to the chilly winter temperatures, which it can survive down to Zone 4.

Tolerant of a range of conditions from full sun to partial shade, ‘Cebenese’ prefers some protection from the hottest summer afternoons, or at least a more frequent watering schedule during this time, testing the soil for dryness frequently. Amply draining soil and pots are a must for this variety, as its spidery webbing makes it slightly more susceptible to rot than other Sempervivum varieties.

A contented ‘Cebenese’ will offset readily via long stolons that emerge from the base of the parent plant, and will even send out stalks of pink blooms during the summer months. After flowering, the parent rosette will die back, providing the space for its offsets to expand in its stead.
