Create a vibrant, self-sustaining landscape with the Native Habitat Seed Collection from Survival Garden Seeds. This curated blend of 24 native wildflowers and grasses is designed to support biodiversity while offering long-lasting beauty in gardens, meadows, and naturalized areas. These species are adapted to local conditions, making them easier to establish, more resilient through seasonal shifts, and naturally supportive of pollinators and beneficial wildlife.

The mix includes both annuals and perennials, providing continuous color, structure, and ecological benefits from early spring through fall. Many varieties offer drought tolerance and deep root systems that help improve soil health and reduce erosion. Most plants thrive in full sun, while select species tolerate partial shade, giving gardeners flexibility when planning beds, borders, and open landscapes.

Native Beauty
This collection highlights the natural charm of regionally adapted plants, offering a diverse range of blooms, textures, and growth habits. Their dependable performance and low-maintenance nature make them ideal for gardeners seeking a landscape that looks beautiful while working in harmony with local ecosystems.

Collection contains:
New England Aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae), Smooth Blue Aster (Symphyotrichum laeve), Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta), Narrow-Leaved Coneflower (Symphytum officinale), Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Tickseed) (Coreopsis lanceolata), Plains Coreopsis (Coreopsis tinctoria), Dense Blazing Star (Gayfeather) (Liatris spicata), Echinacea Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), Indiangrass (Sorghastrum nutans), Spotted Joe Pye Weed (Eutrochium maculatum), Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium), Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), Rose Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata), Showy Milkweed (Asclepias speciosa), Purple Prairie Clover (Dalea purpurea), Ohio Spiderwort (Tradescantia ohiensis), Common Sunflower (Helianthus annuus), Maximilian Sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani), Prairie Sunflower (Helianthus petiolaris), Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum), Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata), Canada Wild Rye (Elymus canadensis), Common White Yarrow (Achillea millefolium).

Ecological Support
Native species provide essential habitat and resources for pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. They also attract beneficial insects and birds that contribute to a balanced, thriving environment. Their deep, fibrous root systems support soil structure, moisture retention, and long-term landscape stability.

Low Maintenance & Resilient
These native plants are designed to flourish with minimal care. Naturally adapted to local weather patterns and soil types, many varieties show strong drought tolerance and resistance to common pests. With most species preferring full sun and some tolerant of partial shade, this mix suits a wide range of garden styles.

Why Customers Love the Native Habitat Seed Collection:

  • Offers 24 complementary native wildflowers and grasses
  • Supports pollinators, birds, and beneficial insects
  • Designed for meadows, borders, and naturalized landscapes
  • Mix of annuals and perennials for color throughout the seasons
  • Low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and easy to establish
  • Helps improve soil structure and ecological resilience
  • Popular varieties in Texas, California, and Florida, but grow well in most zones 3-9

How to Grow
Prepare a weed-free area in full sun or partial shade. Loosen the top layer of soil and rake it smooth. Broadcast the seeds evenly, press them lightly into the soil, and water gently. Keep the area consistently moist until seedlings are established. Once mature, these native plants require minimal care beyond occasional watering during extended dry periods.

Optional: Care & Maintenance
Allow plants to naturalize by letting some flowers go to seed at the end of the season. Light seasonal cleanup or mowing in late winter can help encourage fresh spring growth.

Heavy duty rubber bone
This bone is really heavy duty. It's got a groove down the middle of you you can put your pups favorite lickable treat. My 36 lb aussie enjoyed chewing on this and was nibbling the ends. This bone has held up to her chewing it with only a couple little pieces coming off.

Big hit with my super chewer.
Here’s an expanded, Amazon-friendly version that keeps a natural, human tone while adding helpful detail: This is a truly heavy-duty chew bone and a great option for aggressive chewers. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the package was the weight. It’s solid and well made, so it definitely feels like it’s built to last. Because of that, I would recommend being mindful when handing it to your dog and avoiding tossing or dropping it on hard floors or toes. My dog, Yukon, was instantly thrilled with it. From the moment I gave it to him, he’s been carrying it around proudly and settling in to chew on it for long stretches of time. It’s kept his attention much better than lighter chews, and it’s holding up well to his strong jaws so far. I also love that it provides great enrichment and gives him a safe, satisfying outlet for his chewing instincts. Overall, this chew bone has been a big hit in our house. If you have a powerful chewer and are looking for something durable that will actually keep them engaged, this is a solid choice. I’m very glad I picked it up for Yukon and would recommend it to other dog owners with heavy chewers.

Immediate Hit With My Power Chewer!
Immediate hit. Like, didn’t even make it fully out of the package before my dog was sniffling around the package, all excited. I have a serious chewer, the kind that treats most toys like a personal challenge. This one has actually held up. It’s firm and tough, but not rock hard like those nylon bones that make me nervous about teeth. There’s a little bit of give to it, which I like. The beef flavor must be legit because he keeps going back to it. This isn’t one of those toys that gets ignored after five minutes. He’s been happily gnawing on it and hasn’t managed to destroy it yet, which honestly says a lot in this house. I also like the shape and texture. It’s easy for him to hold, and the ridges seem to keep him engaged longer. Bonus points if it’s helping his teeth even a little, because chewing is already his favorite hobby. No toy is truly indestructible, but this has definitely earned its place in the “worth buying again” category. If you’ve got a medium to large dog who lives to chew, this one’s a solid win.

Great Chew Toy for Destructive Dogs
I got this toy for our lab/pit mix, who tends to destroy most chew toys. He seems to really enjoy it so far, preferring it over his other toys. I'm not sure if it’s just the novelty of a new toy, or whether he actually likes the "real beef flavor," but either way, he's definitely into it. I’ve noticed some small teeth marks in the rubber, but nothing that concerns me too much at this point. My kids thought it looked pretty gross when I first pulled it out, which always makes me laugh! Overall, I'm very satisfied with the toy’s performance so far. It seems durable and I hope it lasts a long time--based on how things are going, I think it will. It's definitely worth the price.

Unusual looking, but durable and the pup likes it.
From the moment I took the box containing this toy out of its shipping box, my dog went nuts. He was not going to wait and had to have it NOW. Clearly the scent was quite appealing (if you’re a dog). He’s had it for a week now and he continues to enjoy it. This “meat bone” may not look appetizing to us, but my pup chews it regularly. The grooves and ridges seem to be interesting to him, and likely help with his dental health. The bone has held up quite well so far. My dog is an aggressive chewer and this one remains in good shape. Unlike plastic ones that leave a lot of sharp pieces all over - this one stays intact. Recommend.
