More than a library filler

Wayne Grudem’s Christian Ethics is a thorough guide for thinking through real life moral questions from a clear biblical perspective. I originally bought this book because I thought it would look good for a display of books. I was pleasantly surprised as I began to read it. The book is detailed and the chapters are laid out in a way that makes it easy to dip into specific topics as needed, which is helpful for pastors, teachers, and laypeople alike. I especially appreciate how Grudem consistently grounds his arguments in Scripture and explains how he reaches his conclusions. His writing is clear, practical, and often pastoral in tone, rather than academic. If you are looking for a comprehensive, conservative evangelical resource on Christian ethics that takes the authority of the Bible seriously and applies it to a wide range of modern issues, this book is a valuable addition to your library...not just a decoration piece.

Absolutely LOVE this book. So useful when considering Christian Ethics, and I feel he presents multiple arguments as fairly as one can expect. Pleased with how many sources and Biblical references were included as well. Will forever recommend reading this book!
