It is preferable that the soil does not contain much organic material, such as peat moss and that the plant is not fertilized with heavy nitrogen as this can cause an explosion of soft, flabby growth that can make the plant prone to bacterial rots. Decomposed granite is often an excellent media as it has many trace minerals and is similar to the South African quartz fields where these and others of the "Stone Mimicry" are found growing. Healthy Hair Boost — Still Watching for Growth

I’ve been using this Batana Oil for a little while now, and while I won’t claim any dramatic hair growth (but I started from a clean shave; so you be the judge), I will say my hair definitely feels healthier.
The texture is thick (more like a paste), so a little goes a long way. I usually warm it up in my hands before applying, and it spreads much easier that way. It has a natural, earthy scent.
What I have noticed is:
* My hair feels softer and more moisturized
* Less dryness, especially at the ends
* Overall looks a bit more nourished and stronger
As for hair growth, it’s growing at the same pace I think, but I do feel like my hair is improving in quality, which is a great start.
