'Little Zebra' Dwarf Zebra Grass | Miscanthus sinensis 'Little Zebra' is a show-stopping enhanced ornamental grass that adds distinctive texture and year-round appeal to your garden. It grows shorter and more erect than other types. This tiny species, which is hardy in zones 5 through 9, has gorgeous green foliage that is sharply striped with horizontal yellow bands, giving it a zebra-like appearance all during the growth season. For extra landscape appeal, beautiful reddish-pink plumes emerge above the leaves in late summer or early autumn. These plumes mature to a mellow tan and continue into the winter. Although they have a faint earthy perfume, the blossoms are more for show than for powerful fragrance.
