One of the surprising attributes is that the leaves are a prized medicinal used for generations.  Gather the leaves on a dry day,  just before the plants are in full bloom. Dried leaves are used as an infusion, or steeped for 10 minutes. This tea is a huge support for the adrenal glands and is gentle in action. Also a good general tonic, an anti-inflammatory, and a good support drink during convalescence.

Borage enhances the soil where it grows by releasing calcium and potassium. Great companion for tomatoes. The flavour and scent are similar to cucumbers.
