Sedum Autum Joy is a hardy perennial with succulent leaves that is popular because it is low maintenance, and an excellent choice for mass planting, hedgerows, slopes, rock gardens, container growing, urban gardens, and borders. Lovely clustered blooms of magenta pink buds come out in summer and turn to deeper magenta red flowers that can stay open through fall (our pictures were taken in late October). It is a winner of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society. 

Sedum Autumn Joy is deer resistant and also attracts butterflies and bees. It will grow up to 3' tall and 3' wide. As a perennial plant, it will die back to the base during cold winters, and it will grow back in early spring. Hardy to -30°F when protected from windchill, and does well in full sun to partial shade.
