Celosia ‘Dragon’s Breath’ is a striking ornamental annual known for its intense red, plume-like flowers and vibrant burgundy-red foliage. The upright flower spikes create a dramatic contrast against the foliage, making it a standout in garden beds and containers. It blooms continuously from summer into fall and thrives in heat and humidity.

Grow Zone:
USDA Zones 10–11 as a perennial. Grown as an annual in most other zones.

Height and Width:
Grows 18–24 Inches tall and 12–16 Inches wide.

Uses:
Ideal for borders, mass plantings, containers, and cut flower gardens. Also well-suited for adding late-season color and texture to landscape designs.

Native Range:
Cultivated hybrid; parent species are native to tropical Asia and Africa.

Sun Requirements:
Thrives in full sun. At least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily promotes the best flower color and density.

Water Requirements:
Prefers evenly moist, well-drained soil. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant but benefits from regular watering during dry periods to maintain vibrant foliage and flower production. Avoid overwatering or soggy soil.
