Echeveria 'Afterglow' - This very beautiful and vigorous succulent has wide powdery pinkish-lavender leaves that have a brighter pink edging and are aptly described as an "out-of-this-world" color. It grows on a short stout stem that holds 12-16 inch wide rosettes. The deep orange-red flowers can emerge from below lower leaves or sometimes as a terminal inflorescence. It is best to remove flower stalks as it detracts from the foliage and a terminal flower stalk aborts further growth. Plant in full sun for best color but it will also grow well in shade. In a well-drained soil one can water it occasionally and it will also tolerate winter rainfall. It is hardy to at least mid 20s. There has been some disagreement on the origins of this plant. Though sometimes incorrectly credited to Echeveria hybridizer Dick Wright, this plant was actually created by Don Worth, an avid succulent grower and professional photographer in the San Francisco Bay area. Don hybridized Echeveria cante (seed parent) with Echeveria shaviana (pollen parent) to create both Echeveria 'Afterglow' and its sister seedling 'Morning Light'. At that time, E. cante had not yet been named as a separate species and was still thought of as a form of E. subrigida so the parentage was originally given as E. subrigida x shaviana. Our thanks to Brian Kemble, Curator of The Ruth Bancroft Garden, for tracing down this information on Echeveria 'Afterglow'. The genus Echeveria was named to honor Mexican botanical artist Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy in 1828 by the French botanist Augustin Pyramus de Candolle (DeCandolle) who was very impressed with Echeverría's drawings. Echeverría had accompanied the the Sessé and Mociño expedition (led by Martin de Sessé y Lacasta and Mariano Mociño Suárez de Figueroa) while exploring Mexico and northern Central America and had produced thousands of botanical illustrations. The genus Echeveria is a member of the large Crassula family (Crassulaceae), which has about 1,400 species in 33 genera with worldwide distribution. Echeveria, with approximately 180 species, are native to mid to higher elevations in the Americas with the main distribution in Mexico and central America but with one species found from as far north as southern Texas and several species occurring as far south as Bolivia, Peru and possibly Argentina. The book "The genus Echeveria" by John Pilbeam (published by the British Cactus and Succulent Society, 2008) is an excellent source of information on the species and "Echeveria Cultivars" by Lorraine (AKA Rudolf) Schulz and Attila Kapitany (Schulz Publishing, 2005) has beautiful photos and great information on the cultivars and hybrids. It has been argued by some that the correct pronunciation for the genus is ek-e-ve'-ri-a, though ech-e-ver'-i-a seems in more prevalent use in the US.  The Information displayed on this page about  Echeveria 'Afterglow' is is based on the research conducted about this plant in our library and from reliable online resources. We also note those observations we have made of it as it grows in the nursery's garden and in other gardens, as well how crops have performed out in our nursery fields. We will incorporate comments that we receive from others and welcome to hear from anyone who may have additional information, particularly if they can share with us any cultural information that would aid others in growing it.

Best frother on the market
This company has the best frothers I have ever used, and I have gone through my fair share of frothers over the years trying to find a good one. I bought this frother as soon as I saw they had an upgraded model, although the older model I was using for the past few years was great too (I now use that frother to mix up my dog's supplements :) ). I have found most frothers to be weak, cheaply made, and eat batteries like candy, even ones rated really well here on Amazon. This one however deserves the great reviews. It is well-made and powerful and the newly added 9 different speeds fixes the "problem" the old one had of being a little too powerful at times. The newly designed stand is definitely a major upgrade. The old one was kinda awkward and would wobble, sometimes falling over when trying to put the frother back in it, but this new one is much sturdier and looks nicer, too. The battery life is also excellent. I can rarely remember the last time I had to charge the frother—it lasts a while. And the new indicator makes it easy to know exactly when it needs a recharging now. I haven't looked at another frother in years since switching to this brand. I can't recommend their frothers enough.

✨Happy with my purchase!
At the time of writing this review, I've had my frother for almost a month now, and I love it! Out of the box, it had a good amount of charge already on it, but I did charged it fully before using. I use it just once a day for my morning coffee fix, and it says I still have 80% charge left. I love that feature. I have used the frothing whisk for coffee, which is fantastic, and the regular wisk for scrambled eggs. It works, but I prefer a hand manual whisk for eggs, because I have more control. Even on the lowest speed, it made the bowl spin WAY too much, and I almost had a mess. No problems like that using the frothing wand for my milk though. The dough hook. I have no idea why a dough hook is part of the package... what would it be useful for, one cookie, one bread roll?? I will never used it. The stand itself works for holding the unit, but the holders for the individual wands could be better. I already snapped the plastic on one of them, but not matter, since I'm not using the dough hook anyway. LOL! All in all, I'm happy with my purchase! It's easy to use and clean. It's a quality built frother, the price is fair, I like the variable speed settings, and I love the fact that it shows how much charge is left. Future product improvements I would recommend: make it waterproof, and lose the useless dough hook.

Best Frother on the Market.
With the absolute highest speed and power for a frother, this is the best frother on the market, but this model, the MF06 has three features that are great improvements over previous models. 1. LED reading of the speed setting and battery life remaining. 2. One-button stop. This is huge! Other frothers require me to cycle through the speeds 'till I get to the "off" or zero speed. This means when my coffee is at the edge almost overflowing, I have to speed-up to shut-off! Not so with this frother. 3. A loop attachment that is perfect for mixing with minimal frothing. Costumer service is excellent, highly responsive, and human! Their 2- year warranty is for real. This is my third frother with this company. The first one (an earlier model) burned out and they replaced it. Twice! They replaced the second one with an upgraded model (MF05). It worked much better, but this model, the MF06 is a slimmer design, better attachments, more features, and without a doubt, the best I the market! Highly recommend.

My third FoodVille frother in six years and this one is the best!
Apparently I have a long running relationship with milk frothers. Looking back at my Amazon orders, this is my third FoodVille frother since 2020, and they have all been part of my daily coffee routine. I make two mochas every morning, so these things get used a lot. This new MF06 model has been in daily use for about three weeks now, and it’s easily the best version I’ve owned. The biggest improvement is the adjustable speed control. Earlier models were basically one speed and you either got foam or a small milk tornado. With this one you can start slow and then increase power depending on what you’re mixing. It actually gives you control instead of just maximum blast. Things I like after using it every day: • 9 speed settings make it much more versatile • Strong motor that creates thick foam quickly • Rechargeable battery with USB-C, so no dealing with AA batteries • Battery indicator so you know when it needs charging • Multiple whisk attachments for different uses • Stand keeps everything organized on the counter The foam is thick and creamy enough that my homemade mochas now look like something from a coffee shop instead of something made by a half-awake human at 6 AM. I’ve also used it for mixing protein powder and hot chocolate, and the lower speeds help avoid splashing. The stand does take up a little counter space, but I personally like having everything organized instead of digging around in a drawer for the attachments. For around the $20 to $25 range, this has been a great little kitchen tool. After several years and multiple versions, this is the best FoodVille frother I’ve owned so far, and it gets used every single morning. What gives me confidence recommending it is that this is my third FoodVille frother since 2020, and each version has improved on the last. If you make coffee drinks at home, this is a great little tool to have.
