Its large, heart-shaped leaves are a vivid chartreuse to lime-yellow when they first emerge, developing irregular patches of deeper green as they mature, with the older leaves settling into a complex, mottled green variegation. Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage climbing and the development of larger, more dramatic leaves.
