More tolerant of average household conditions than most collector velvet anthuriums, and one of the better entry points into the genus for growers new to the velvet anthurium group. Light: Bright indirect to dappled light; tolerates moderate light better than most velvet anthuriums. Avoid direct sun which scorches the thick velvet leaves.

Soil: Open, chunky epiphytic mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; excellent aeration is essential given its lithophytic origins. Never waterlogged.

Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-80°F; humidity of 50-70% — notably more tolerant of average household humidity than cloud forest anthurium species.

Watering: Allow the top inch to dry between waterings; water thoroughly and drain completely. More forgiving of slight dry-out than most velvet anthuriums but never allow to sit in standing water.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth; dilute to half strength. Reduce in winter.
