The Tandem Buggy from Activate for Kids is the only special needs buggy with a sensible solution for carrying a second child. Younger siblings really help a child with special needs and provide invaluable stimulation for their development. However, you still need to be able to get out and about and the Tandem is there to help you do this.

The Tandem Buggy system is not designed for two children who both have special needs as we are not able to provide postural support in the second seat. In order to create a buggy that can take two children, and can still be pushed easily and navigate around shops and other urban terrains, there had to be an element of compromise. One of these is balance. It is important that the front seat is always occupied when using the rear seat.

This comes in Mini or Standard and both includes the footrest, lap belt, vest harness and anti-tippers. 

The Carrying Frame for the baby car seat and sibling seat will need to be purchased separately

• Ability to remove and refit the front seat unit in order to fold the buggy
• Height of the pushing handle is adjustable to enable storage of folded buggy
• Chassis fits into most car boots when folded
• Brakes on both sides of the buggy
• Designed to receive a baby car seat that is suitable from birth to 9 months old or a sibling seat for a child from 9 months old to 3-4 years of age.

Specification:

Maximum Weight Capacity for the main front Seat is 35kg.

Maximum Weight Capacity for the baby rear seat is 9kg.

Maximum Weight Capacity for the rear sibling seat is 20kg.

The Tandem buggy is expected to last 3-4 years with continual daily use and regular maintenance.

The Streetwise Buggy and Tandem Buggy use the same seats and are interchangeable between chassis

The price point displayed on the product is for a basic package our supplier understands that all children have different needs and there are different attachments and accessories that can be added to the product to assist the user and their family.
