Why use a cork mat?
These plant mats have been developed for over 20 years for professional plantscapers and are manufactured by us right outside Chicago.
Natural cork absorbs moisture from the unglazed bottom of ceramic containers or condensation that collects on the outside of other types. Once moisture contacts the cork, it is distributed and evaporates.
The solid plastic layer under the cork resists moisture from bleeding through and causing mold or moisture damage.
Our soft plastic backing also mitigates the scratching of furniture and floors.
