Germination Guide:
- Sow in Spring or Autumn
- Prepare pots/trays of moist seed compost mixed with vermiculite to improve drainage
- Firm compost then scatter seeds over surface
- Lightly cover the seeds with an even layer of sharp sand
- Loosely cover with a plastic bag
- Autumn sown seeds should be overwintered in a cold frame or greenhouse
- Germination occurs at 16-20c and is naturally erratic
- Pot on to individual posts once large enough to handle - when have two pairs of true leaves
- Plant out in late April to May
