🪴 Alocasia Full Growing Guide and Care Information

In that guide you will learn how much sun and water Alocasia plants need to grow happy and healthy. You will be a pro, able to keep plants alive for years.

Basic Alocasia Tiny Dancer Care Instructions

Alocasia Tiny Dancer Light

Alocasia Tiny Dancer plants thrive in medium to bright indirect sunlight. Be aware that they are not suited to low light or direct sunlight - which may scorch their leaves. If the area your alocasia is in has not enough light, consider using a grow light to boost its foliage.

Water for a Alocasia Tiny Dancer

Alocasia Tiny Dancer enjoy watering about every 2 weeks, frequent misting, and keeping their soil moist but not wet. We recommend allowing the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry out between watering to prevent overwatering and root rot.

This plant is not drought tolerant, and extended periods of dryness will cause leaf edges to brown.

Humidity for a Alocasia Tiny Dancer

Your Alocasia Tiny Dancer will also appreciate being placed in a humid environment, which you can create by misting it frequently, placing it close to other plants or on a pebble tray partly filled with water.

Alocasia Tiny Dancer Temperature

Your alocasia will thrive in temperatures ranging from 18-25ºC. Avoid abrupt temperature changes and cold drafts.

Alocasia Tiny Dancer Information

Aloacasia plants feature some of the most beautiful foliage in the plant world. They have become a staple for plant lovers due to their visual and striking appearances. There are close to 100 species of Alocasia, with most being native to Asia and Australia.

Alocasia Tiny Dancer plants need bright indirect sunlight. Placing them 2 to 3 feet from a window will supply them with enough to grow big and strong. Be sure that direct sunlight does not come in contact with the leaves, as this could burn the leaves. In the wild, alocasia plants live on the forest floor and receive diffused sunlight, so it's best to recreate that in our homes.

When watering an Alocasia Tiny Dancer, allow the first 2.5 inches of soil to dry out between watering. This will allow air to penetrate the soil and get to the roots. If the soil is too dry you will notice the leaves have lost their firmness, and may start to droop. Soak your alocasia in water for 10 minutes, drain for 5 minutes, place it back in the pot, and you should not have to water for a couple weeks.

Alocasia plants like higher humidity areas, so they are perfect for bathrooms! Rotating your alocasia from time to time will allow it to grow evenly.

My 22 year-old grandson was incredibly happy with this gift!
Format: Paperback
I can't write a meaningful review of the content of this book, because I don't begin to understand it, however, it was one of the things my grandson requested for his 22nd birthday, and he seemed thrilled to get it and he tells me it's a great book, so I can say whole heartedly, this is a terrific birthday gift for anyone who's into computer games.

More Theory than Actionable Advice on Game Design
Format: Paperback
Not a bad book, but not what I expected going in. I read this for a bookclub like event on twitch. I thought there was going to be actionable advice. Like 'do X to make Y feel". The introduction points out that the book is not about the emotional feelings a player receives from games, and this is true. The book DOES provide a language for discussing game design at a more academic level. It is about the theory of how a game feels, and while I didn't agree with everything Steve wrote it was easy enough to follow the thoughts.

MUST HAVE for game devs
Format: Paperback
Fantastic book about the theories of what makes a game feel good and fun to play. I'd be doing the author a disservice if I attempted to explain it myself, just purchase the book and read it for yourself. Written very well and easy to understand even while going into very complex and intricate explanations. I'd say that this is a must have for any game developer. Hell, even for those who are just interested in learning more about games.
