- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves.
- Temperature: Warm conditions with temperatures between 20-28°C (68-82°F) during the day and 18-22°C (64-72°F) at night. Protect from temperatures below 15°C (59°F).
- Humidity: High humidity is essential, maintaining levels between 60-80%. Use a humidifier, humidity tray, or terrarium to maintain adequate moisture.
- Watering: Keep substrate evenly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.

- Foliage Characteristics: Features large, beautifully rounded heart-shaped leaves with a distinctive velvety (velutinous) surface and prominent radiating venation. TD Jakes gives great insight into who we are and how to find purpose in this book. His illustrations and insights into the lives of Elisha and Elijah are really good. His focus on doing well where we are and being faithful in our current season were just what I needed to hear.
