HOW TO USE: As a soil amendment - Mix Gromulch 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch 50:50 with native soil for in-ground planting only (no containers). Gromulch 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch helps loosen compacted clay soil, adding rich organic material providing the perfect balance of moisture retention and aeration required for strong root growth and bigger, more-lush plants. HOW TO USE: As a mulch covering - Add a 3- in. layer of Gromulch 2-in-1 Planting Mix & Mulch on top of the soil around your trees and shrubs as nutrient-rich organic mulch, keeping the soil cool and moist in the summer and a protective barrier in the winter.
Key Features
- It looks different. Aged wood fines create pockets in the soil to allow air and water to penetrate deeper into the soil for greater root development and overall plant health.
- Formulated for in-ground planting only - mixing 50:50 with native soil.
- Adds organic matter to the soil for better water retention and reduced soil compaction.
- Don't forget the fertilizer! Since you have the hole dug, mix in an organic granular fertilizer at time of planting.
- Add fertilizer every 5-6 weeks after planting and during the growing season for lush growth.
- It's a mulch too! Spread a 3- in. layer on top of the soil leaving a 2- in. gap from the base of the plant/tree.
- Mulching helps reduce frequent watering, keeping soil moist in hot summer months and protects in the cold winter months.
