pothos, (Epipremnum aureum), also called golden pothos, money plant, house plant, or devil’s ivy, hardy indoor foliage plant of the arum family (Araceae) native to southeastern Asia. Pothos is an evergreen plant with thick, waxy, green, heart-shaped leaves with splashes of yellow. As a houseplant, it is commonly grown as a hanging plant. Pothos can climb by means of aerial roots, and wild or cultivated plants grown outdoors can reach enormous heights using tall trees as support. In addition, the leaves of outdoor plants grow many times larger than indoor plants. ‘Marble Queen,’ with white variegations of greater extent than in the species, and ‘Tricolor,’ with shades of green, deep yellow, and creamy white, are popular varieties. The plant is easily propagated from cuttings and rarely, if ever, flowers. Pothos is a suitable plant to grow in hanging baskets, where its long lush vines can trail downward or be trained to grow over windows and trellises. The plant grows well in low to medium light, with the more colorful variegated pothos preferring a bit more light, such as near a window with a sheer curtain to diffuse the light. Like other houseplants, pothos plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen.

A decent read, it wrestles a bit with a couple of different topics of anxiety, racism, family dynamics, sports, and friendship in fits and bursts. I guess my main critique was it felt a bit shallow (no pun intended) with most issues resolved rather quickly and easily once characters put their minds to it. The Hollyhoke's team also seemed to be pretty toxic making it a wonder why someone would want to go there other than that it's wealthy.

I really enjoyed this book of short stories
Format: Paperback
I loved this book. It was the first time I ever read anything by Simone De Beauvoir. It is difficult but I think the title story was my favorite, watching the character go down hill so rapidly and in such detail showing her growing obession was oddly relatable, her self hatred towards her body towards the end of the story I would not try and presume to state what the "moral" of the story was... but that is exactly what I am going to do about now check it.................... I think that the main Character should have developed a concept of self outside her marriage her marriage was her identity and when that fell apart she had nothing...no sense of self it was a compelling read a little uncomfortable but I like being a littel uncomfortable when I read............

Excellent writing, but rather depressing (but perhaps accurate?).
