How to Use the Evenflo Advanced Single Electric Breast Pump

Before First Use

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
• Disassemble all washable parts that come into contact with breast milk.
• Clean and sanitize the bottle, flange, valve, membrane, diaphragm, and sealing disc before first use.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly.

Step 1: Assemble the Pump

• Insert the membrane securely into the valve.
• Attach the valve to the bottom of the breast flange.
• Place the diaphragm onto the top of the flange, ensuring it lays flat.
• Attach the sealing disc over the diaphragm to create a proper seal.
• Screw the bottle securely onto the bottom of the flange.
• Connect the assembled flange unit to the pump motor.

Step 2: Choose Power Source

• Plug the pump into a wall outlet using the included AC adapter, or
• Insert three AA batteries (sold separately) into the battery compartment.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery brands.

Step 3: Position the Flange

• Center your nipple in the tunnel of the flange.
• Ensure the flange sits flush against your breast with no gaps.
• Use the included 28.0mm insert if needed for a better fit inside the 30.5mm flange.

Step 4: Start Pumping

• Turn the control dial to power on the pump.
• Gradually increase suction using the dial until a comfortable level is reached.
• Pumping should feel firm but never painful.
• If discomfort occurs, reduce suction immediately.

Step 5: End Pumping Session

• Turn the dial to the OFF position before removing the pump.
• Carefully remove the flange from your breast.
• Detach the bottle and cap it for storage or feeding.

After Each Use: Cleaning

• Disassemble all washable parts after every pumping session.
• Wash with warm water and mild dish soap, then rinse thoroughly.
• Allow parts to air dry completely before reassembly or storage.
• Do not wash or submerge the pump motor. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth only.
