💙Hosta Grow and Care Instructions💙

~ Grow Instructions ~

Hosta seeds sprout nicely indoors, under normal house conditions, with temperatures running 60 - 70F. Use a "peaty" starter mix and just lightly cover the seed with peat moss. Keep the seed moist but not saturated until germination. Sow seeds 8-10 weeks before frost season ends.

~ I Care Instructions ~

  • Apply a well-balanced, slow-release fertilizer after planting or when growth emerges in the spring.
  • Keep the soil moist but not soaked.
  • If the soil tends to dry out quickly, consider placing mulch around the plants to help retain moisture, but be aware that mulch can be a hiding place for slugs.
  • Remove flower stalks after bloom to encourage new growth.
  • Many hosta cultivars have nice color in fall, so let them thrive until they start to suffer from frosts.
  • In late fall, after a few frosts, hostas will flatten out and get mushy. We suggest cutting them back to avoid slug and disease issues. Clean up around the plants and remove brown leaves. However, if you run out of time, you could also wait to cut them back until spring.
  • Transplanting and dividing is best done in early spring when the leaves just begin to emerge.

Transplanting or Dividing Hostas

Hostas do not usually need dividing for their health. If they have less space, they’ll simply grow less quickly. However, if you wish to divide a hosta for a neater garden appearance, it’s best to do so in early spring once the “eyes” or growing tips start to emerge from the ground. This is also a good time to move or transplant a hosta to a new site.

Leave as much of the root attached as possible to each crown or plant. Plant the new hostas at the same soil level as they were previously. Water well until established.

Thank you so very much for supporting my small business🪴Happy Planting!!!

💚 Best Wishes, Your Plant Bitch (Quinn)

My fur babies love these balls they are their favorite. Any size dog can play with it because of how it's made. it easy to play with. It's made with a lot of opening and is made of a soft rubber. My Shepherd pup and Boston's love to play with it, and I had to buy 3 so they don't fight over it. The giggler will break easy and even the first day on rough riders, but they can still enjoy the ball itself even without the giggler. It size is about 4in. If Amazon gave halves Id give it a 3.5 because of the giggler breaking so easily but otherwise my girls still love this ball.

Wonderful toy, but for most dogs it's a toy you play WITH dog, not a chewie
Color: Red, Size: Medium, Color: Red, Size: Medium
I'm a dog trainer, and have shared my life with many dogs. For the current mini aussie, toys are a necessity and a lifeline. He is tough on toys, and we have certainly tossed many many MANY ruined toys. This toy is wonderful: the squeak is fabulous, it bounces great, it's easy to carry around, and great for fetch and a little tug. Love it, and so does he. But it's soft rubber, so it's a toy to be played JOINTLY with... not a chewie. It will create a lot of fun times and silly entertainment and exercise, but I will put it away when I am not closely monitoring and involved with the play. One of the photos is blurry but shows that the rubber is soft.

Stops giggling after a few weeks
Color: Red, Size: Medium
I have bought three of these Giggler toys. The dogs absolutely LOVE this giggler toy and it's irresistible to them, even more so than squeaky toys. The rubber is soft and flexible, and after weeks of tug-o-war between dogs, the rubber has stood up well and is showing no sign of breakage. However in two of the toys, the giggler mechanism has started to fail and barely makes any noise at all. The dogs have lost interest in them.

A winner!
Color: Red, Size: Medium
Our pembroke welsh corgi’s favorite toy. We ended up getting him a second one. One for inside. The other, outside. Great for tug-a-war, fetch, and just chewing on. I can recommend this all day long.
