Moon Cactus: With its brilliant pink bulbs, this Gymnocalycium is a great gift for beginner gardeners. You’re even getting a sort of two-for-one deal! The Frankenstein's monster of the cacti world, moon cacti are actually two plants grafted together: G. mihanovichii atop Hylocereus root stock. These cute cacti stay relatively small if you’re looking for something for a desk or small apartment.

Plant Care Notes

Moon cacti like a lot of bright, indirect sunlight, and can even tolerate slightly less light. Just be careful not to throw it under direct sunlight, these sensitive succulents can burn just like people under too much sun. In lieu of sunscreen, try out a little shade. If you’re growing moon cactus outdoors, just don’t let it catch a chill below about 50°F (10°C).

When it’s time to water, follow the soak-and-dry rule: water thoroughly, then let the soil dry out completely before watering again. Be careful not to overwater, as Moon Cacti are prone to root rot, and reduce watering in the Winter. Pair it with a well-draining cactus mix that includes extra perlite or pumice to keep its roots happy and healthy.

Propagating a moon cactus is a bit more challenging than your average cactus or succulent but it’s not impossible. By removing a pup, or bulb, from the top gymnocalyceum and attaching it to a new hylocereus rootstock you can create more moon cacti than you’ll know what to do with!

LOVED
Our 6 month old puppy went crazy with donkey! You would think there was something in or on it he wanted. Not sure how durable over time it will be. Materials look substantial. Bought 2 and held one back. Even if it doesn’t last long I will definitely buy again as no ther dog toy has interested him so much. It is not large… which is ok for us.

Not quite indestructible, but closer than other toys
Size: Large 10", Style: Rubber Dog Toy
We have a German Shepherd who chews through pretty much any toy you give him. He has very strong, destructive jaws. And, being very smart, he will find the weak point in a toy and go after it almost obsessively. He'll work tirelessly trying to chew it into submission. I don't know how many toys we've gone through. We even did the subscription where they send you indestructible toys every month. Usually, they wouldn't make it until the next shipment. Any of them. And they sent three or four in the box. Anyway, this is our second one of these. He does destroy it, but he's had this one for three months or better and it's just now really showing signs of deterioration. We'll be replacing it soon, but I'm very impressed compared to the countless other toys we've bought over the years.

Toy Not Safe For Chewers
Size: Medium 8", Style: Rubber Dog Toy, Size: Medium 8", Style: Rubber Dog Toy
We bought this tire toy for our puppy for Christmas. It was advertised as a natural rubber dog toy and implied to be durable. It lasted less than two hours. Our puppy was able to chew off small pieces of the rubber and swallowed some of the bits, which made her extremely sick. She ended up vomiting after ingesting pieces of this toy. I would not recommend this toy, it is not safe especially for dogs that like to chew.
