Anthurium is a genus of roughly 1,000 species of flowering plants in the arum family, native to South and Central America, often growing as epiphytes, although some are terrestrial.  While all Anthurium flower, not all have showy blooms. Many varieties of Anthurium are sought after for their foliage.

Anthurium do best in a well lit, bright area, out of direct sunlight.  Typically, but not always, the darker the leaves on an Anthurium, the less bright they need it, however, all do very well in bright, but shaded areas.  This makes them perfect for just about any room of the house!  Even bathrooms that have an indirect natural light source can be a great place to put a beautiful Anthurium.

Anthuriums can be quite picky with their water, preferring purified or distilled water and do best when they are kept evenly moist at all times.  Many Anthuriums' roots will grow up and out of the pot, which is perfect, as most naturally grow as Epiphytes.  Higher humidity levels are a must for Anthuriums.  Tanks, Terrariums, and Domes are perfect.  Pebble trays under the pots also help, as well as humidifiers running on a continuous basis.  This will prevent leaf browning, wilting, and wrinkling.

While it is not completely necessary, you can use a general purpose, high quality fertilizer from Spring through Fall.  We recommend diluting the fertilizer to about 50% strength.  Fish Head Farms soil conditioner is a great option to use year round to provide essential nutrients and promote strong, healthy growth.

A loose, well draining soilless mix is ideal.  A peat based mixture with lots of chunky perlite, or vermiculite will do the trick.  Many Anthuriums can also be grown, very successfully, in Sphagnum Moss.  For a pre-mixed formula, we find that a cactus/succulent blend could be ok, but we recommend adding more perlite, vermiculite or even chunky moss to maintain moisture levels, but keep the roots airy.

The coffee is very tasty
This 20-bar espresso machine is compact, stylish, and very easy to use. It makes great-tasting coffee with a nice crema, and the steam wand works perfectly for cappuccinos and lattes. The water tank is spacious and convenient, and the display showing brew time and water temperature gives it a modern touch. Perfect for enjoying great coffee at home without taking up much space… I’m in love with my coffee maker 😍

Wonderful so far! UPDATED REVIEW: little over a month later...
Reducing to 1* due to machine being defective. No longer exerting enough pressure for good shots and the portafilter has started leaking. I've done all troubleshooting and steps that should be taken for these issues to no success. Machine is basically a hot water machine now. 4.5* The warmer on top could certainly be better but other than that I haven't had any issues. Seems to be as advertised. It's definitely quieter than my nespresso machine and makes a better shot for sure. Getting the grind and tamping right takes a bit of trial and error if you're new to making espresso but once you get that down, this machine will do what you need. The Americano option is also a little wonky imo but I haven't messed with it very much. I just run my shots and use the hot water function when I make an americano 🤷🏻‍♀️ as long as it lasts it seems like it's gonna be a great purchase 😌

Excellent espresso at home, easy and quick to use
Excellent espresso coffee maker. Prepare a coffee with a very good aroma, perfect cream and intense flavor, like from a coffee shop. It is easy to use, heats up quickly and its design is modern and compact. Very good value for money. Totally recommended!

Fine espresso but poor frother
I wanted to like this, but couldn’t. The good: Makes fine espresso. Uses a typical pressurized portofilter, so there’s no skill to it. It can use normal drip coffee grinds. Looks nice. Has timed (albeit short) presets for single and double shots. But… The display is useless. 198 degrees is the temperature shown…but it never changes. No other status is shown. Might as well say “On” The worst part…the FROTHER. It’s not removable. It’s very hard to clean. It’s got a small orifice that doesn’t froth very well. It just makes A LOT of noise. Not good at 5am. The ones with the removable barrel are quieter and foam better. The foam selector is poorly designed. To go from coffee to steam you have to go past “hot water” which you don’t need in your milk. And then you have to stand by for several seconds while it heats up and pressurizes. Other machines have a much simpler switch design that preheats ahead of time and then steams on command. It’s pretty, but other machines work much better

Nice upgrade 51mm for me
Color: Silver
This is my second 51mm machine. I never used the included handle or basket… I kept my existing HUGH IMS precision basket and bottomless portafilter. The temp and preinfusion are set and not adjustable but fine (reduced variables). I defeated the shut off by volume by setting higher than needed (wish that was easier to turn off). I like to manually shut off when I hit 30g on my scale. The machine will drip since there is not solenoid valve so I just pull the scale from the try when mouse tail breaks and drip starts. The steam wand and hot water dispenser is a massive upgrade (from Capresso EC50) and the real reason for my upgrade. I would have paid $50-100 more for the improvements listed… but I guess most people would not so this is about the best option for me with 51mm (keeping all the 51mm three lug portafilter stuff I own). 5 stars = for me and the price
