Grow a container of strawberries on the patio or just outside the kitchen to enjoy sweet snacks as you pass by, or plant strawberries in raised beds or in-ground gardens. Plant strawberries so the crown is just above the soil line. A perennial in USDA zones 5 to 9, strawberries prefer full sun and well-drained soil.
