Ashwagandha Seeds (Withania somnifera) – Non-GMO, Heirloom - 30 Seeds

Ashwagandha is a powerful herb traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for stress support, energy, and sleep. Its name means “vitality of the horse,” and it’s often called the “ginseng of Ayurveda” due to its wide range of wellness benefits. This upright plant grows over 2 feet tall, with small green-to-yellow flowers that develop into red berries by fall. The roots are harvested at the end of the season, usually when the berries ripen in October. They’re dried and used in powder or tincture form. (Note: only the roots are used—other parts of the plant are not edible.)

Skill Level:
Intermediate
Ashwagandha is easy to manage once established but benefits from a warm start indoors and well-drained soil.

Growing Info:

• Zones: Perennial in Zone 10, grown as an annual in cooler zones

• Light: Full sun to part shade

• Soil: Dry, sandy, well-drained

• Height: 2–3 feet • Soak Seeds: 24 hours in warm water

• Planting Depth: ¼ inch

• Germination Temp: 70–85°F

• Germination Time: 1–2 weeks (can take longer)

• Transplant: Move outdoors in June after frost

How to Start Ashwagandha Seeds:

  1. Soak seeds for 24 hours to improve germination
  2. Sow ¼" deep in trays or small pots with seed-starting mix
  3. Keep soil moist but not soggy
  4.  Cover with plastic to trap heat and humidity
  5. Place in a warm spot with indirect light
  6. Remove plastic after sprouting to prevent mold
  7. Transplant outdoors when seedlings are strong and frost has passed

Tips: • Thin seedlings if crowded • Avoid rich soil—ashwagandha prefers tough conditions • Harvest roots in fall when berries ripen

My teacher thinks some of the ekgs are wrong
Format: Paperback
Can anyone put me in contact with the author of this book? My ekg/cardiology teacher is slandering her name and saying some of the rhythms she has in this book are wrong. Really upsets me because he is only a nurse and teaching a pre paramedic course. Doctors and cardiologist were the ones who cited this book. The rhythms are correct, my teacher just wants to think he is smarter than everyone else when it comes to cardiology. Otherwise I love this book and very helpful.

Excellent Book
Format: Paperback
As a nurse I struggle sometimes with rhythm recognition for some of the more complicated ones. This book is easy to read with many practice strips to help you comprehend even the complex details. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs to learn EKGs or brush up on their rhythm recognition skills. Great book!

Thin pages
Format: Paperback
I purchased this book a couple months back but just started school so I just started using this book and come to realize that these pages are way too thin, you can literally see the words of the following pages and the ink on the pages started to smear where ever I touches, I can't even highlight anything or else the other side of the page would be a mess.
