Origins
Sansevieria (now classified as Dracaena) trifasciata is native to the rocky, semi-arid regions of tropical West Africa, where it grows in dry shade and full sun alike on shallow, free-draining soils. 'Star Canary' is a cultivated selection prized for its bright yellow variegation.
