ABOUT OUR AGLAONEMA LIGHT STAR

Hello, I’m Jane the Aglaonema. I’m more widely known as the Chinese evergreen plant, the light star plant and the light pink star plant. I’m a tough cookie and rather low maintenance when it comes to my care. My cool shades of pink are the perfect mixture of calming and captivating. Although I’m quite a common houseplant, that hasn’t stopped me from making a statement with my colourful foliage. I’m a popular houseplant with a vibrant twist and my laid back vibe means I’m not time consuming with my upkeep.

The Aglaonema species is found throughout New Guinea and tropical Asia. I’m just one of over 30 species of Aglaonema and you can find us throughout New guinea and tropical Asia. Although native to a tropical climate we do not need the extra care other tropical houseplants might need. I’m very drought and cold tolerant so if you have a dark spot in your home that needs filling with some colour, I’m the perfect low maintenance plant for you.

I’m ideal for beginners and plant loves alike. My bright foliage is bright, colourful and won’t go unmissed in a dark living room or low light office.

Small Height (including nursery pot) 30-35cm; pot diameter 12cm.

DID YOU KNOW?

In many countries in Asia I’m traditionally given as a gift to colleagues to symbolise prosperity, wealth and good luck.

Jane’s charm will bring colours and life into the darkest parts of your home.

QUICK AGLAONEMA PLANT CARE

Jane will thrive in almost all types of environment as long as there is some natural light.

LIGHTING

I need some natural light to survive but can be placed in a room with small windows. Keep me out of direct sunlight as this will burn my leaves.

WATERING

I like my soil on the dry side. Let my soil dry out in between each watering. This could mean only watering me once every few weeks.

HUMIDITY

I can tolerate a dry environment and do not need to be placed in a bathroom or near a humidifier.

FERTILISER

I don’t need a lot of fertiliser as I’m a slow grower. Use a diluted fertiliser once every 2-3 months in the growing season only.

THINGS WE ALWAYS GET ASKED

How do you care for an Aglaonema plant?

The Aglaonema is an easy care plant and brilliant for beginners and forgetful waterers. Jane can cope with cooler temperatures of 15ºC and will not get a chill if placed by an open window. In regards to watering Jane does not need regular watering to survive and her soil should dry out completely before her next watering. In the summer months this could be once every 2 weeks. Jane’s watering schedule should be reduced in the winter months. Alice can tolerate low light conditions and is a perfect plant for a dark hallway or draughty entrance hall. Having said this, she will grow faster in a medium or bright indirect light but this type of light is not essential to her survival.

How often do you water an Aglaonema?

Jane does not need regular watering. She can go many weeks without water and is a very drought tolerant plant. You may notice her foliage droop a little when she is ready for a drink. Always feel the first few inches of soil to make sure it is dry before you water Jane again.

Is the Chinese evergreen plant poisonous?

Yes, the chinese evergreen plant is toxic if ingested. Place Jane on a high shelf, dining room table or dresser where she can't be reached by young children or curious pets.

PLANT STYLING TIPS

Jane is a style icon. She can be placed in a hallway for some added colour or pair her with another low maintenance plant like Zoe the zz plant or Ian the cast iron plant. Her pretty shades of pink are going to uplift any room you decided to place her in.

Pair Jane with pink crystals to compliment her foliage such as the crystal point and love crystal for an added splash of pink.

Pretty Darn Good
Format: Kindle
So I’ve been on a omega kick and this definitely hit the spot. Madison was frustrating at times with how she acted towards Lucas, Gray, and Rian. It was like she said towards the end, she didn’t believe she deserved nice things. It would have been nice to hear from her best friends again. They kind of were there in the beginning and the gone except for mention of text messages received from them. I feel like her friends would have been great help in encouraging Madison to go with the pack and never give Brent another chance because he was toxic. I loved Rian. His personality was awesome. His humor. His ability to make Madison comfortable whenever she was feeling overwhelmed. And the fact he fell for her and she fell for him first. They are cute together. I do feel like Lucas was the odd man out though. Like Lucas didn’t develop as much of a relationship with Madison. I would have really liked to see more development in the relationship between them. It was also the same with him and Rian. There is really no relationship displayed. Most of the relationship being displayed is between Rian and Gray. Nevertheless, I loved reading about the dynamic that came to fruition during the entirety of this story. Madison finally got her happiness. And Brent finally got punched in the face. Everyone got exactly what they deserve.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.
