- Substantial in quality paper and size. Each envelope is designed in black ink font, measures approximately 2.75" by 4.25", and is made with 65 lb acid and lignin-free cardstock.
- Available in solid colors (brown, white, buttercream, blush, and robin’s egg) and “Shades of” colors (pink, blue/green, roses, purple, orange/yellow, and green). With the ”Shades of” option, you will receive a variety of shades to achieve an ombré look. See listing pictures for reference, but be aware that colors can look different from monitor to monitor.

Format: Hardcover
This is a fun collection of stories. as with anything Mignola, of course I'd love that the publisher packed a few more into the mix, but for what is there, it's an entertaining read. The art is typical Mignola. I love his style, but I can't lie that SOMETIMES my eyes get lost trying to make out the context of the image. Not a criticism, but a personal shortcoming. Regardless, it's a beautifully rendered book with some brief stories.

SOME OF MIGNOLA'S BEST WORK!!

This book is astonishing! I've always been a big fan of mignola's work, but this one really caught me by surprise. I was expecting something like The Amazing Screw-on-Head, which is a phenomenal read! Great characters, a wonderful story steeped in gothic lore, and amazing art like only Mignola can provide. However, this book did all of that and more! In these pages, he's created an entire world filled people, creatures, and lands unknown! All in that signature dark but playful Mignola style. Beautiful and riveting ❤️. I'm such a fan, and I'm looking forward to visiting this bizarre and far off place again.

fables from an alternate world
Format: Hardcover
Fun stuff from Mike Mignola, very low key and doesn't try to be anything grandiose, just some simple stories from an alternate world very reminiscent of Robert E. Howard's Conan stories with a hint of Luis Borges. The art is fun, with some nods to Richard Corben, who was apparently a big influence on Mignola. Definitely fun and looking forward to book 2.

DEFINITELY go bowling!
Format: Hardcover
If you're like me (the husband of the woman whose card purchased this book, lol) and thought that Mike Mignola stepping away from drawing comic books was a crime against humanity, well, Bowling With Corpses is sweet, fun, dark redemption. Hands down the best thing he's ever done and the foundation for a new world and characters outside the Hellboy Universe. A craggy, crazy, shadowy, goofy mix of all the weird stuff I dug growing up: horror movies, Jack Kirby monster stories, Poe and pulp, Machen and Blackwood, myths, legends, and folklore, the Japanese ghost stories from Kwaidan. As Mignola himself says in his afterward regarding his semi-retirement, "The hell with this. I love drawing comics so I'll just keep drawing comics." Praise be to the Elder Gods for your decision, Mike—now get crackin' on your NEXT book!

This is Other Work, and Different
Format: Hardcover
It was recommended by a usually reliable source, but even with the amazing art this is some weird stuff, strange stories that are spooky and deathly depressive. Just paging through it, the style remains the same. Mike Mignola has done other work that I liked more immediately. There's humor in this book which might suit me better, so this isn't a bad review, just a little-bit at a time review.
