The Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium podophyllum) is a stunning, easy-care plant known for its arrow-shaped leaves and striking variegation. This adaptable plant thrives in a variety of indoor environments, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts. With its lush, trailing or climbing growth habit, it adds a vibrant touch to any home, office, or terrarium setup. This plant is sold bareroot, making it easy to transplant into your preferred pot or arrangement. Additionally, it can be grown out of an aquarium, where its roots can thrive submerged while its foliage grows above the waterline. These plants have been specifically cultivated for aquarium and terrarium use, ensuring no concerns about pesticides or soil contamination.

Features We Love:

  • Striking Foliage: Unique arrow-shaped leaves with eye-catching green and variegated patterns.

  • Adaptable Growth: Can be grown as a compact plant, trailing vine, trained to climb, or partially submerged in an aquarium.

  • Low Maintenance: Thrives in moderate light and requires minimal care.

  • Air-Purifying: Helps improve indoor air quality by filtering toxins.

Care Guidelines:

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions.

  • Temperature: 60° - 85°F (16° - 29°C).

  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity levels.

  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy; allow the top inch to dry between waterings.

  • Growth Rate: Moderate to fast-growing under optimal conditions.

  • Ideal Placement: Perfect for hanging baskets, tabletops, trellises, or as an emergent plant in an aquarium setup.

Pro Tips:

  • Encourage Bushy Growth: Regular pruning promotes a fuller, more compact plant.

  • Support Climbing Growth: Provide a moss pole or trellis for vertical growth.

  • Aquarium Integration: Place the roots in water while allowing the foliage to grow above for a unique aquatic-terrestrial effect.

  • Pet Precaution: Mildly toxic to pets if ingested, so keep out of reach of curious animals.

Beautifully written and good quality book
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I received the book earlier than the estimated date. I love this poem collection of Ilya Kaminsky. Although it describes the social unrest in an unknown place (and unfamiliar to me), his poems are beautifully written with strong images and music. THe paper quality and the book are so new and lovely. I couldn't think that it is used (as it stated).

Life: A challenge in many ways in all cultures
Format: Kindle
I heard Ilya Kaminsky read his poems at Chautauqua this past summer. Over powering and dynamic to hear his voice speak his words... about his life experiences need to be remembered. A must read and if possible with the audio.

A brilliant poetic narrative whose lines leap off the pages which turn themselves.
Format: Paperback
When you get to the end, you wonder how Kaminsky worked his wondrous magic, how it's possible to think and write poetry like that. The poem is a story about Vasenka, a mythical town somewhere in the Ukraine, occupied by the Soviet army during an unspecified period of time. It is an allegory of the cruelty of occupation, the futility of the resistance of a few, and the deafness of the silent majority, a deafness that courageously resists the occupation and a deafness that hardens the heart and ignores the evil surrounding them. It could have happened anywhere anytime. The occupiers could have been Nazis, Ottoman Turks, American, English, or Spanish. The poetry is piercingly sharp, visionary, breathless and the metaphors are the likes of which you've never heard before, lines like “the sound we do not hear lifts the gulls off the water,” “Our hearing doesn't weaken, but something silent in us strengthens,” or “In these avenues, deafness is our only barricade.” This is drop-dead beautiful poetry.

Haunting Humanity lurks in war’s reactions.
Format: Kindle
The poem moves efficiently through the myriad experiences that result from deadly conflict with a nameless and menacing enemy. I kept thinking I was reading a rendering of Kafka with the haunting glimpses of the horror of permanent victim hood. Now I must study the Deaf Republic and hope for understanding.

Beautifully written.
Format: Paperback
I read this book in one sitting and discovered that tears are included with purchase. Story is broken up into acts, like a play, and is told completely in verse. Sign language images accompany several of the poems.
