🌱 Plant Characteristics: This perennial semi-evergreen shrub features slender, hollow branches with brown to reddish-brown vines. Its oval-shaped leaves are densely covered in soft and glandular hairs. In summer, it blooms with fragrant, lip-shaped flowers that transition from white to yellow, accompanied by black spherical berries when ripe.
🌱 Habitat and Adaptability: Chinese Honeysuckle typically grows as a twining or creeping shrub, ideal for ground cover in forested areas, along edges, and on the north side of buildings. Its climbing ability makes it suitable for creating green walls, pergolas, arbors, columns, and decorative rockeries.
🌱 Medicinal and Culinary Uses: Apart from its ornamental value, Chinese Honeysuckle has significant medicinal and health benefits, making it a valuable herb in traditional medicine. The dried flower buds are prized for making tea, known for their clear fragrance, mild taste, and slight bitterness.
🌱 Planting Instructions: Before planting, soak Bellfarm® Chinese Honeysuckle Seeds in warm water (35-40°C) for 24 hours to soften the seed coat and promote water absorption. Germinate the seeds in moist sand until the fissure reaches about 30%, then sow them in rows spaced 21-22cm apart. Keep the soil slightly moist by watering every two days until seedlings emerge in approximately 10 days.

Horrendous, Even for a Required Textbook
Format: Paperback
Normally reviews aren't necessary for school textbooks. They're required. You're buying this whether you want to or not. However, I feel I need to take a moment and record how awful this book is. It's sexist, unhelpful, and is written as if the authors are talking down to a reader. You can't even complete the exercises after reading the chapters, and the book provides no answers if you were to try. I learned nothing from this text, except that women are smart and healthy and men are sick and stupid. These are stereotypes texts can easily avoid. Instead, this text sought out those stereotypes, going out of its way to reinforce them. Textbooks should put readers to sleep at worst, not actively insult them. And to be clear, this isn't about the fact that women live longer. This complaint concerns that every single example in the text that concerns a sickly individual uses a male pronoun, and every example in the text that concerns a healthy individual uses a female pronoun. The sexism grows from there. Textbooks have to try to be this poor. In that regard, and that regard alone, this one succeeded.
If you're about to take a class that requires this textbook, reconsider your life trajectory. Something is going wrong.
Also, and this is petty, but the comics made for this textbook are probably the worst I've ever seen. The art is so poor it's not even funny. My dog could do better.

Helpful and to the point.

As an undergrad psych student, It's a helpful little book! It essentially has everything the full DSM-5 has but skips all the word foreplay and gets right to the point.
