It is also more compact, growing to only 1-2' tall. Flowers bloom in June and July, sometimes with sporadic continued bloom through the summer. This flower is deer resistant and attracts many pollinators. 

Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. This is an adaptable plant that is tolerant of heat, humidity, poor soils, and even drought once established.
