A member of the Bromeliaceae family, Tillandsia aeranthos has charismatic dense green foliage with stiff, scaly green leaves. The plant grows between 9 and 12 inches, with the leaves growing upward as a cone, eventually branching out due to its caulescent growth. It is a slow-growing air plant with pink and purple flowers borne on multiple inflorescences and grows heartily in bright, shaded, or indirect sunlight.

Tillandsia aeranthos can bloom throughout the year. This air plant with purple flowers has an inflorescence sprouting with multiple purple petaled flowers.
Watering and Feeding
The best Tillandsia aeranthos care is to mist the plant at least twice and a maximum of four times weekly. In drier climates, the misting can be a daily routine. The leaves should be wet thoroughly, and you should preferably use tap water or rainwater. You can alternately submerge the air plant in water for about twenty minutes but ensure that it dries up fast and well. Or the plant will rot to death! Also, a low-copper liquid fertilizer is good once a month.

It needs protection from frost growing well in hardiness zones 9 to 11.
