This characteristic, often referred to as "not cutting true," has made it a more elusive and sought-after variety.

The origin of the Golden Dragon Variegated is uncertain, with some speculating that it is a hybrid of Philodendron bipennifolium developed in a Thai lab. As the plant matures, its leaves take on a dragon’s head or arrowhead shape, adding to its visual intrigue.
