The end grain shows the dark Maroon bundles crowded together like the end of a steel cable. There are not any growth rings visible in Palm wood. Our stock has dried for one year. It dries quickly but may have residual moisture. Wax sealed ends are common. Measurements may vary +/- 1/8". This unique species can yield amazing results but it is challenging to work! Red Palm, by nature, is soft in areas so using C.A. glue is recommended.Shipping Notes
