The cut is flattering - especially the armholes, which are at the perfect place - not too low so that your bra shows, and not too high to impede movement. The color is "white," but it is more of a light cream color. I did not give it five stars because it came out of a gentle washing and light drying very wrinkled, which was a big disappointment. I will probably wear a colored bra underneath it with a matching colored tennis skirt to look purposefully coordinated. While I am not familiar with yoga, Pilates, or gym attire, I would imagine that this shirt would be perfect for these types of exercise. I ordered the Medium (instead of the Large, which was suggested for me by Amazon). The Medium fit is perfect - it falls gracefully and is not tight anywhere - the large would have been too big.

(But I like the 56% pima cotton!) - the "heathering" (maybe because of the materials) feels like tiny fabric fibers are itching me and not comfortable, especially if the air conditioner is not running, - the hem has side slits and is slightly longer in the back than in the front.
