I grow best in medium to bright indirect light. However I can tolerate darker settings in the house but I may become thinner, a little leggy and lose my bright pink variegated pattern. Try and keep me away from harsh intense midday sunlight as it can easily scorch my leaves. 

 

Infrequent watering

 

Allow the top two inches of soil to dry in between waterings. Be sure to reduce and change your watering schedule in winter when I'll be taking in less water and producing less growth. If i'm in a bright spot I will need more water than in a darker place in your home. If I'm under watered my leaves might turn crispy at the edges. If I'm being over watered then my lower leaves might turn yellow and limp, there might be mould on the soil and my stems may go mushy and start collapsing. 

 

Care tips

 

Household humidity is normally adequate for me to be happy. However keep an eye on my leaf edges and if they start drying out then it's a good indicator to mist me if possible. 

Try to keep me away from cold drafts and heaters in winter where possible. 

When watering try to avoid using very cold water as I am very sensitive to temperature change and can get a nasty shock. A bit like you jumping into a cold shower!

These plates are very convenient for busy days and parties, hold up well with regular meals.

I grabbed these for the upcoming summer because we have so many events coming up: graduation party, kids sleepovers, family gatherings and honestly even for those lazy evenings when I am just too tired to deal with dishes. I am actually very happy with them because they hold up much better than many disposable plates I've tried before. The plates feel sturdy enough for regular meals and snacks without immediately bending or getting soggy. One thing I appreciate is that they were even reusable for lighter drier snacks like nuts, crackers or cookies. If the food wasn't greasy or wet, we could easily use the plate a second time which actually helped reduce waste during busy gatherings because i noticed people going around and reusing for multiple foods. My son use them to do a quick warm up in the microwave for a slice of pizza but was only for 30 seconds and it seemed fine so i can say they are microwave safe but for shorter cycle. I love the white background with blue trim details. These are really practical plates to keep stocked up at home considering the great bulk value of 140 plates, very convenient, sturdy and a huge help when you want easier cleanup without constantly washing dishes. Lifesaver! Here is how I rate items: 5 Stars = Exceeds expectations, a good find. 4 Stars = Very good quality, worth trying. 3 Stars = Decent and does what is says. 2 Stars = Below expectations with noticeable issues. 1 Star = Very poor quality, would not recommend.
